Thank you so much for tuning in. Today, I want to talk to those people who feel stuck stress like a slave to the system. You're a rat in the race, you're on a conveyor belt. And you know you're headed off a goddamn cliff, but you don't know how to get off. There are five steps to creating positive change in your life, there are five steps that you need to take to create change in your life to break the cycle to overcome adversity and take action on your dreams. There's five steps of positive change, awareness, acknowledgement, action, accountability, adjustment. That's it. That's all we got to do to change our life to change the world around us. That's all we got to do to become the fucking author of this story called our life, which is what we have to do if we want to create anything in this world. If you want to get out of where we are now. If we're sick of feeling stuck, stressed, depressed, overwhelmed, like we're living someone else's life, like we're on this conveyor, conveyor belt of life head off a goddamn cliff, we have to own this process. So many people just give up, they just leave their their life to chance. And then when shit gets hard, which is guaranteed to get hard, they just give up. And they suppress that inner knowing that voice calling them to move forward to take action to answer that feeling that's coming from deep inside their gut that says they have something, something bigger is happening here. They have a bigger purpose here. They suppress that shit. suppression leads to depression. Depression, you push that down far enough and you're going to be turning into mental physical, spiritual disease. Suicide is a result of depressing that voice inside of ourselves that says there is something more for you. About three and a half years ago, I was a firefighter of the year, I was smoking weed at work, and I was having suicidal thoughts. My life was completely out of control. I was fighting screaming regular screaming battles with my now wife. I was completely overwhelmed. I was so depressed I my only escape most of my life was working out exercise. During this time I went to the gym, and I was just exhausted, I sit down on the bench at the gym and just start to cry, and knew I had to get up and get the fuck out of there. I would go home and I lay on the floor, and I would just cry. I was a mess. I was completely overwhelmed. I was completely lost. I felt like I was the only one. I literally had no idea what I was going to do. I had no idea what I was going to do. But I did know that once I realized I was having as a firefighter of the year, a 28 year old man, I was having the same suicidal thoughts that I had when I was in seventh grade. Once I became aware of that fact, I knew I had to make some changes in my life or this feeling would be my destiny. And there are people out there right now maybe it's you. I guarantee there's someone you love and you know that is feeling this right now if it's not you, that feels completely lost, completely overwhelmed, completely broken. And they feel like this is all that there is. And I'm going to say to you, that is complete bullshit. That is not all that there is. I am the proof of that. And if you would follow this framework, you will see for yourself. And once you move forward on this framework, the world will bend. Like, right now you wouldn't even believe. The first step to all of this to any positive changes awareness, awareness about how you are right now how you're thinking how you're feeling how you're acting. My line of thinking feeling and acting was leading me to smoke weed at work as a firefighter of the year having suicidal thoughts, fighting with everyone that that I loved that everyone that cared about me pushing them away. I was so angry, I fucking hated myself in my life. But knowledge is power. And the way I cultivate this sense of self awareness is I learned, I trained, I forced myself to sit my ass down and meditate for five minutes. Every day, I went on a 90 day streak, and that opened up a whole new realm of awareness, I was able to observe my thoughts, those ones that were suicidal, I was able to observe my thoughts, those ones who were so deeply unhappy, and start to create space within myself. With that space, I could then move on to step two. acknowledgement. I acknowledged the fact that I was completely fucked up, lost, broken, alone. What most people do, what most people do, is they distract themselves. They distract themselves from their feelings, from the pain, from the adversity, from the self doubt from the fear that they are feeling inside. They might be aware of it, maybe you are aware of how you're going, but you're distracting yourself. Smoking weed, drinking drugs, whatever it was, my my drug of choice at that time, was smoking weed. It was anger, I was able to hide myself behind my anger. This sad, depressed little boy inside of this big ass man hid himself behind anger. What's your advice? What's your drug of choice. The key is not to act like these things aren't happening, that you are not feeling a certain way. The key is to acknowledge them. But most of our lives, we have been trained to abandon ourselves. We've felt guilty for having a feeling our parents popular culture, whoever it was sure they'd made they did the best they can. But either way they made you feel like shit for having a feeling for having a voice. Become aware of that fact, acknowledge where you are. And then you got to take action. You've got to take action to overcome where you are right now. Be aware of what's going on, acknowledge the fact that you need help, that you're feeling this way that you are being called to something greater, that you have a dream to chase. Whatever it is, acknowledge that it's so valid, you have to validate these things, you cannot rationalize your pain away. You can't listen to all the people who are just discounting the value you have, or the dreams that you have. But here's a quick test. If you are spending any amount of time, trying to make other people feel bad about themselves, trying to invalidate if you're spending any time in validating other people how they're feeling what they're saying, you're spending any amount of time trying to make it make other people look crazy. Like for me with my anger, I was able to project my sadness in the form of anger onto the people around me, I could blame them and direct that anger onto them. But what was really going on the whole time was my deep depression. In this deep sadness, I felt this this deep doubt that I was this burden of life that I was carrying. Once I acknowledge that, everything in my life changed, everything in my life changed. Now, at the time, it didn't feel like everything changed. But I know looking back in that moment of acknowledging that I need help, acknowledging that I need to break the cycle, or this would be my destiny, acknowledging the fact that I had to get the fuck out of here. That was the decision. That was the decision that changed my life. I didn't know what the hell I was gonna do. I didn't know where I was gonna go, what that even looked like I just knew that it was time. It was time to stop running from the pain that I've been suppressing and depressing down inside of myself. That was leading to these damn suicidal thoughts. It was time to move forward. I didn't know that I was gonna do but I knew I had to take action. And for me, the philosophy is give, grow, go was born. I believe the best measures of a life well lived, how much you give, how much you grow, and how far you go. So for me, the give me becoming a coach so I can be of service to others in their time of need. The grow may go into grad school so I can make a difference on a larger scale. And ultimately, for me, the government sell all my shit. resigning from what I once thought was my dream career and spending about two and a half years chatter on the world. Really what it was was buying a one way flight to Costa Rica with no real plans of ever coming home, what it ended up being was an absolute adventure of a lifetime that I could never even fathom at the time that lasted for more than two years. See, the pain we are given is the pain we pass on, and the volume of that pain will turn up, it'll turn up, it'll get louder and louder and louder until we tune in, and we pay attention. And we have an opportunity to transcend it, to overcome it, to break through it, and not be burdened by it for the rest of our goddamn life, which is what so many people do, they just keep putting it off, putting it, putting it off, denying it, not acknowledging it, stuffing it down, stuffing it down, let's just numb it all off with some medication, so I don't have to feel any of it. That is the last thing we need to do. If you want to change your life, you are not numbing out this shit anymore, you're standing up. And you're saying this is not me, this is something I get to address I get to overcome, because this is going to put me on a pathway to personal freedom, like I would even imagine right now, what I'm experiencing right now is for a reason. You have to feel that way. You have to feel depressed, low down. Because that is what you need to say I will not take this anymore. Action cures all, you've got to move forward. You've got to get your ass unstuck, because what's happening right now is you're creating a platform, a foundation, from which you can always leverage you can cultivate the sense of strength of character that you will build right now. Because you're going to show up and you're not going to run from yourself anymore. You're ready to create change in your life. And you're not going to just keep acting like the problems that are going on out there. That is what's happening all across the world right now. This whole process is happening all across the world. This is why I believe it's the best opportunity in the history of the world to be alive. Because all this shit about the systems that have sustained us for this long climate change, mental health, suicides, all the corruptness that is coming up to the surface allows us an opportunity to acknowledge the fact that it's happening and take action to change it. You have to be experiencing this across the world, we have to be feeling this, this collective uncertainty, this disease that we're feeling about where we are headed as a species. And as an individual, you have the opportunity as a as a race, a human race, we have the opportunity to make a decision, will we continue to let these cycles just run our life just doing the same thing we've always done because we've always done it. Or we will decide or we decide to do something different. We decided to action and realize that we have the power to create anything we want in the world, we can literally do anything. In fact, a lot of that disease, a lot of the depression, a lot of the out of whack feeling, comes from when this deeper knowing this feeling there has to be more than life than this is met with your own resistance and fear. And ladies and gentlemen, the only way to overcome fear is to go right fucking through it. What you fear doing is what you most need to do. That is why you are feeling so low. Because you're letting fear run your life. You are letting these faulty programs that are founded on fear, run your fucking life. And if you want to break that cycle, you have to take action, you have to go through it. And the only way to do that is by taking imperfect action. Stop letting your fear of failure, your fear of success, your self doubt your fear of rejection hold you back. You're an imperfect human being, you are supposed to make mistakes, stop trying to be somewhere where you can't possibly be and then beating yourself up because you can't be there. That's not how it works. You have to move one step at a time. Take imperfect action. You're not separated from your goals, your dreams, desires that you need to fulfill while you're here on this planet. by a number of years, you're separated by a series of actions. The more you suppress that desire, the need the drive to go after those things, the more you will feel stuck suppressed like a slave to the system. You have to take action, you have to move forward. But you don't have to do it alone. You got to get a coach. You have to get a calling. You have to get a community that's going to support you. A coach is gonna allow you to see past your limiting beliefs. He's gonna help you overcome those things. So you're no longer held back by those faulty fucking programs that someone put into you because they were projecting their own. Doubt fears and insecurities. Your job is to cut the cord. Positive chains means cutting the cord. And a coach is what helps you move through that. hold you accountable to make sure you're doing what you say you're going to do. You're in alignment with your word, if you're not living in integrity with yourself, if you can't trust yourself, because you've you've just, you say things and you never follow through. That's the problem. That's the fucking problem. And the coach will help you get over that. You have to have a calling something bigger than yourself, because it's not going to be easy. It's not gonna be easy. And on top of that, this isn't even about you. We're all here to serve something larger than ourselves. We're all here to serve something larger than ourselves. Why are you here? What's the calling that you're suppressing down the people that are further back than you that need you to show up now, they need you to experience what you're experiencing now, so you can reach back and then show them another way. So you can show them how to break the cycle that they're going through. Because there's all kinds of people across the world that are struggling, that are suffering, and you're suffering now and you're listening to this message. Because you are being called to serve those people, or the environment, or whatever, the world, we all have our place here, we all have our place, we have to just uncover what that is, and stop acting like it's not there. And abandoning ourselves, abandoning our dreams, neglecting that voice coming from deep inside of us, because that's what everyone else around us is doing. And the third part of this is finding community, finding a community of people who are going to encourage you support you get you going believe in your dreams. If you're surrounded by a bunch of negative ass people you're a negative ass person to. And if not, if you don't think you're negative, maybe you're the most positive people of those, you know, well, hey, guess what, it's time to level up your crew. Because those people are holding you back. You need accountability. If you don't have a community that's supporting you, you got to get a coach and you got to use a fuel that comes from a calling something larger than yourself to get your ass out of bed and realize this is so much bigger than you. And then you've got to adjust your approach over time. This is where we enter what I call the cycle of conscious action. Unconscious action is just doing the same thing we've always done because we always done it. It's acting like those programs that are running our lives are not even there. It just being the programs. The cycle of conscious action simply means we set an intention about where we want to go. We take that imperfect action. we reflect on our on our actions, we reflect on what we did, we learn the lessons we need to learn as it relates to that specific thing. And then we adjust. And we keep leveling up our decision making. We keep we keep leveling up our actions, getting over ourselves, stepping up our self awareness, acknowledging where our weaknesses, are finding people that can support us, getting a coach that can serve us in this way, getting, finding, fine-tuning our vision to where we want to go with our lives, whatever it is adjusting these things. intention, action, imperfect action, reflection, adjustment. If you can wrap this all up with this, and you're consciously taking action, you're reflecting, because you're aware, you're acknowledging your weaknesses, and you're moving forward, adjusting your approach over time, you can create and you will create whatever it is you desire, whatever level of success, mentally, physically, spiritually, or financially, whatever you want to do. You'll get there. That's all you've got to do, ladies and gentlemen, you've got to be aware of what's going on. You've got to be aware of how you're feeling. You've got to be aware of what's going on in the world around you. If it's not something that you like, stop acting like it's not there. acknowledge the fact that it is acknowledged the fact that there's complete and utter chaos around the world, that climate change is going to make our planet inhospitable to human life in less than 50 years, meaning our children will not have a place to live, let alone our grandchildren. Those fucking kids no have a chance. Unless people like you and me right now. Own our power, own our voice, acknowledge the fact that there's something going on here that we can create our life, that we are in control of what happens moving forward. We become aware of the program, we acknowledge the fact and then we take action. We take action, we become accountable. And then we adjust our approach over time. You are an imperfect human being. You are put on this planet to do something that is larger than yourself, but you will never get there. If you let these feelings consume you this depression This feeling like you're lost at sea, that is drowning in the ocean of your own fucking shit. Your responsibility is to break the cycle, and create the positive change that is needed around the world. This is what it means to be the change. And you can become the change, create change in your life through these five steps. Thank you so much for tuning in. I would love to hear what you think about the five steps to positive change, about the cycle of conscious act of conscious action. I'd love to know what you're struggling with, and how you can apply these things to your life so you can create anything you want in the world. That is the opportunity. At any time you can decide to do something different, no matter what's going on in your life. Now is the time. Now is the time. I'll see you on the next episode.
